Brand

Logo and brand design

A logo is the smallest part of it. What you need is a set of decisions you can keep making for years.

What a brand package includes

The primary mark, plus the variations you will actually need: a horizontal version for a website header, a stacked version for a sign, a single-color version for embroidery and stamps, and an icon small enough to read as a profile picture.

A color palette with the exact values written down, so your sign painter, your printer and your website all use the same colors rather than three similar ones.

Typefaces chosen to work together, with a note on where each one is used.

And the files in every format you will be asked for, including vector files that can be scaled to the side of a van without going soft.

Why the files matter more than the logo

The most common thing I see is a business with a logo they like and only a low-resolution JPEG of it. Every time they need a sign, a shirt or a vehicle wrap, somebody has to redraw it, slightly differently each time.

Vector files solve that permanently. If you already have a logo and only have a JPEG, that alone is worth fixing.

How it is priced

Per job, quoted before any work starts, based on how much of the above you need. A single mark with the file set is a different job from a full identity with print collateral and signage.

Tell me what you are trying to do and I will give you a number in writing.

Questions

Do I own the logo?

Completely. You get the source files and full rights. I do not license designs back to clients.

How many concepts do I see?

Enough to make a real decision, usually three genuinely different directions rather than one idea in three colors. Then we refine the one you pick.

Can you redraw my existing logo?

Yes, and this is often the right answer. If the design is fine and you just do not have usable files, redrawing it as a clean vector costs far less than starting over.

Do you design signs and printed material too?

Yes — business cards, letterhead, signage, menus, vehicle lettering. Quoted separately.

How long does it take?

Usually one to two weeks, depending on how quickly the rounds of feedback come back.

Tell me what you need.

One message, one reply from an actual person, and a straight answer about whether I am the right fit. No sales call, no deck.
