Who this is for

Small businesses around the Kansas City metro who need a website that works and cannot justify an agency. Barbers, bakeries, auto shops, salons, nail studios, coffee shops, realtors, contractors, trainers, consultants, nonprofits. If you have been quoted five thousand dollars and a three-month timeline for something you could describe in a paragraph, this is the alternative.

It is also for people who already have a site that embarrasses them. A template somebody set up in 2019, a page that takes eight seconds to load, a design that falls apart on a phone. Rebuilding is usually faster than fixing.

What you actually get

A custom site, written and designed for your business specifically. Not a theme with your logo dropped into it. Your trade, your words, your photographs, your colors.

Built to load fast and work properly on a phone first, because that is where most of your customers will see it. Clean markup, real headings, structured data so search engines and AI assistants can understand what you do and where you do it.

A contact form that reaches you, pages that make sense, and a design that looks like a business worth hiring. Hosting is included in the care plan. You own the domain and the files either way.

How it goes

You tell me what your business does and what you want the site to accomplish. That is one conversation, not a discovery phase.

I write and design it, and send you a working link to look at. Not a mockup in a PDF, the actual site.

You tell me what is wrong. I fix it. We do that until it is right.

It goes live. Usually about two weeks from the first conversation, sometimes faster if you have your photographs and copy ready.

Why one person and not an agency

At an agency, the person who sold you the project is not the person who designs it, and neither of them is the person who writes the code. Every handoff loses something and every handoff costs money. You pay for the meetings where they catch each other up.

Here you talk to the person doing the work. That is the whole difference, and it is most of the reason the price is what it is.

Questions

How much does a website cost in Kansas City?

Agencies in the Kansas City metro generally start around three to five thousand dollars for a small business site, and go up from there. I charge $499 to build and $75 a month to maintain, because there is one person involved instead of five.

How long does it take?

About two weeks from the first conversation to going live, assuming you can get me your photographs and the basic facts about your business in the first few days. The waiting is usually on content, not on me.

Do I own the website?

Yes. You own the domain, the files and the content. If you ever want to leave, you take it with you. There is no contract and no cancellation period on the care plan.

Do you work with businesses outside Kansas City?

Yes, though most clients are in the metro on both the Missouri and Kansas sides. The work happens over email and screen shares either way.

What if I already have a website?

Send me the link. If it can be improved, I will say so. If rebuilding is the better answer I will say that instead, and tell you why.

Tell me what you need.

One message, one reply from an actual person, and a straight answer about whether I am the right fit. No sales call, no deck.
